Happy Thanksgiving, on ice!!!

We had an awesome Thanksgiving at the lake with the Affeldts!  Food was delicious!  The company was great!  About the only thing that could have been improved was the score of the Packers game...  I'm feeling pretty grateful!

Jay, Bryn, and Henry caught a huge fish. When they girls saw what they were pulling out of the ice, they ran away screaming. I guess it's obvious we don't fish much... They thought the 30 inch northern was an alligator.

Bell Ringing with my baby!

...and a couple of students!

Dress Like Your Idol Day!

The girls had dress up days for American Education Week.  Today's theme was Dress Like your Idol.  The concept was a little fuzzy at first, so we asked them who they admired most.  ...And here were their responses!
Mia as her teacher, Profesora Marita

Allison as Auntie Amy!

A Christmas card photo shoot!

We decided to go with a moving theme this year, since our new house is scheduled to be completed just before the new year!  We loaded up the kids and some boxes and headed to the park we will likely really miss once we move!  Thank goodness for the boxes.  They provided a little shelter from CoLd!!!  Though I think the cold helped this to be one of the fastest and most successful shoots ever!

"Shick o' Sheet!"- Molly

Keeping with tradition, the Days rallied with the Jacobs for some trick-or-treating!  The race was on for candy.  Mason ran from house to house and the girls chased after him.  Molly was loving it too- strollering it for a while, then walking up to the doors to trick or treat all by her self!

These kiddos will sleep well tonight!

Nothing says Fall like...

A trip to the pumpkin patch and...

 ...carving pumpkins!

In the CIties with Amy!

We had a skating event in the Cities to thank for a spur of the moment day with Auntie Amy and Pete!  We hit the sculpture gardens, got coffee, treats, and Pizza Luce, and got to see a great skating show!

We stayed longer than we had intended to because the skating was so good!  When we left we were all cold and a bit hungry. So, well after their bed time, the girls and I stopped at Perkins for late night pancakes.  It will be one of my favorite memories with my girlies!  Full tummies and a warm car also made for a quiet drive home! :)

An alumni appearance...

Mia and Alli were invited back to the Children's Day Fall Festival.  It was so fun to get to see their former teachers and classmates!
Molly dove into the food, and would not leave her craft table!
Mia and Alli were playing the game circuit!
They did take a break to watch the magician!  It is so funny to hear what this age group will say.  The magician was building up a big introduction of his 'friend' to the kids.  One kid said, "That's not real!  He's a puppet!"  The magician responded, "Well, don't tell him that."  So the kid looked right at it and said, "You're a PUPPET!!!"  Don't worry, though.  The puppet just shook it off- the show must go on!

A Haunted Halloween Party at 'Mommy's School'!

We figured the Halloween fundraiser for the Drama Dept. at my school was as good of a place as any to debut the girls' Halloween costumes!
 Molly as 'Sheep'
 Mia as "Unicorn"
 Allsion as "Ariel"

It was a fun night of games and well earned treats!

Here come the flower girls!

Many cheers to Grandpa Ken and Monica on their wedding day!  These three girls were so excited to be dressed up fancy for the occasion.  They were a little less excited to have all eyes on them in their flower girl roles.  Molly ran down the aisle but never sprinkled a petal.  Alli walked and sprinkled petals, but did not look happy about it.  Mia refused to move at all until I took her hand and walked down the aisle with her.  They enjoyed the rest of the day with their extended family!  It was a simple, fun, and meaningful ceremony.  Now starts the 'happily ever after'!  Congratulations!
