Cheers to Jack!

It is with an extremely heavy heart that I update our blog as we all continue to mourn the sudden loss of little Jack Turpin, whose own blog has captivated our attention and made us smile continuously over his short two years. We are so grateful for our day at the Vilas Zoo together. I will forever remember Jack's (and his mommy's) quick pace and excitement as he ran from animal to animal. He was a sweet and immensely happy little guy and will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of looking into his beautiful eyes and larger than life smile.

All of our love to the Turpin family! "Cheers" to Jack!

Don't forget the hummus!

Grandparent's Day found us back out on the river. It was a relaxing way to celebrate, especially just having finished the first week back at school!!!
The girls are getting more adventurous with the water. They LoVe jumping off the boat or the dock into the water (and our hands) and love taking long walks on the beach!

Canal digging and mud slinging with Auntie Amy and her friend Kate

First ride in a tube

The exercise must have left them pretty hungry. They polished off nearly the entire tub of hummus, with about 80% accuracy. (At least 20% ended up on their faces, swim suits, etc...)

Congrats to Uncle Jay and Happy Labor Day!

We got to spend labor day weekend in Madison with the Affeldts! Uncle Jay finished his second Masters Degree so there was lots of celebrating. In fact, Uncle Jay, Auntie Sarah, Bryn and Henry hosted a fabulous picnic in their wonderland of a backyard. Fun was had by ALL!

Congratulations, Uncle Jay!!! You're an inspiration!
