Bathing beauties...

Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa Affeldt, for the fuzzy new bathrobes! The girls were so excited to have them on they came sprinting out of the bathroom to show them off!

Must have been the leotards...

Tuesday night marked the girls' third gymnastics class. The first two nights of the class the girls were pretty squirrely and only at times joined in on the whole group activities. I wondered if having leotards like the other little girls in the class would help them to feel more focused. As it turned out, the trip to Target was well worth it! The girls stood still on their flowers and followed Miss Kelly's instructions. They were stretching and walking on the beam, rolling over the foam pad and kicking over the bars (with help). Their little pony tails and their concentration during class made them seem like such big girls!

Ely Hideaway...

To kick off Spring Break, we drove up to Ely for a weekend in a rustic cabin with Grandpa Day, Monica, Auntie Amy and Uncle Chris.

We enjoyed our first glimpse of 50 degree weather since last fall. Between the weather and good company, we didn't miss electricity or running water at all!

Roadtrip!!

We decided to turn an ordinary Saturday into big adventure, loaded up the girls, and headed to Minneapolis for the day. First stop, the Children's Museum! The girls had so much fun exploring about the dinosaur section, the north woods section, and the toddler gym that they didn't even notice that they didn't nap. They were climbing, digging, and, brace yourself Grandma A, even touched a rat!

We wrapped up the big day by visiting Great Grandma Smolik and having Baker's Square dinner with her and Aunts Lori and Dee. We were so glad to get a chance to catch up with them. It was a fun day and best of all, none of us had trouble sleeping that night!
