Warm and inviting it is not! The freezing temps have had us under lock and key for most of this blessed month. We've avoided cabin fever all thanks to Blues Clues and a few exciting outings to the grocery store- (the promise of a cookie from the bakery and a ride on the penny horse would likely inspire Mia and Alli to walk to the grocery store regardless of wind chills). There was one special girls' day out to report. Nanny Jenn was home sick, so the girls went with me to school to make sub notes. At one point I turned around from the computer to see Mia and Allison sitting in the big desks, side by side with some sophomore boys, all watching a Blues Clues episode together before school started. I wish I had a picture to show how sweet it was!
The girls and I made the social rounds at school and then went to Panera for some pre-nap snacks. I was excited to accomplish lots of things at home while they napped so, of course, they didn't sleep a wink. Plan B was a return trip to the Stearns County History Museum. Dinosaur Sue was gone, but the girls still had fun spotting Nemo in the history exhibit and playing in the toy room. We had the place to ourselves (which was fortunate so I didn't need to apologize to any witnesses of the 'dirty diaper-not enough wipes' incident!)

We're glad Nanny Jenn is feeling better, but I'm also grateful to have had an unexpected day home with my girlies!
