Happy Mothers Day! Unfortunately the sacred holiday coincided with Shawn's call weekend, but the girls and I definitely made the most of it. We went to two of 'Mommy's' favorite places- Panera and Thomsen's Greenhouse. Auntie Amy and I found some beautiful plants for our yards and the girls found a stream and puddle that managed to keep them entertained for hours! 
Upon leaving the house in the morning I questioned Alli's choice of footwear. She insisted on wearing her 'much to big for her' rain boots. Little did I know she'd be hosting her own prolonged celebration of the rain boot later on. Unfortunately I had picked out Mia's shoes- I didn't have the heart to keep her out of the puddles and in turn her suede shoes turned her feet brown. Sorry, Mimi! I'll try to be more prepared in the future!
